HP Tour Guide (Windows ME Version) Installation on Windows ME
Requested by Marko Bacu. This is a video that demonstrates the original Windows ME version of the HP Tour Guide being installed on Windows ME, the first Windows operating system to include the same HP software when both Windows ME and the HP Tour Guide first came out in 2000. Back in early 2018, someone graciously uploaded the installation files for this old HP software after extracting it from a Windows ME HP Pavilion recovery disc, so I downloaded it from The Internet WayBack Machine Archive. Here is the download link for it:

The webpage linked above has a guide on how to install it in the description, so this video isn't much a walkthrough as it's just a simple, short installation with only five setup files. I recorded this video to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both Windows ME and the HP Tour Guide (which features Victor, a Microsoft Agent character).
Sorry about the audio glitches and Victor's speech bubbles lacking text. This video was recorded off a Windows ME virtual machine in Oracle VM VirtualBox by using Camtasia Studio 8. The audio driver is buggy, and I don't know if I'm able to display text in the speech bubbles for Victor here. If you know of a solution, please let me know and I will work on another version of this video using Windows ME as well as a video of this installation process on Windows XP.
Enjoy!
