My au of Cooking Companions is based off of the theory Matpat made on Game Theory. So spoilers for that video and possibly Cooking Companions below. Contains dark themes. Read at your own risk.

So his theory talks about the Baba Yaga, a creature form Slavic folklore. A creature that eats her victims much like the characters do in the game. He thinks that the protagonist (I named him Frost cause that was the only name I could think of) is the Baba Yaga in the game. Or possessed by the previous Baba Yaga. But in my au, the protagonist is possessed/cursed by the Baba Yaga that used to live in the cabin. When he encountered it, 6 years prior to the game, he and his friends fell victim to the Baba Yaga. He survived by begging to live. The Baba Yaga made a deal with Frost saying that he will be spared in exchange for him being the one to carry out her bidding. He accepted but it came at a price. The Baba Yaga vanished and he stayed at the cabin. Only leaving to collect food and water. Soon, others came to the cabin. And Frost allowed them to stay. But during the night, he would be possessed by the Baba Yaga who then killed the guests and forced Frost to eat them. He only complied as he was afraid of being the next victim.

And that's basically it. Sorry if it's confusing. It makes a bit more sense if you've seen the video and played/seen the game. I would recommend the game, it's similar to Doki Doki Literature Club. But I will warn you, it is very dark and scary. It kept me up for three whole nights and definitely caused my paranoia to act up. So play/watch at your own risk (it is a really good game though. My favorite character is Anatoly ^^).
