To anyone that loved the first Subnautica that played Below Zero and disliked it, seriously consider playing the 8.1 version. I mean - if you didn't watch this whole playthrough and spoil the story. It's under the game's beta tab, using the word belowzeroearlyaccess.


I'm not happy to see the Sea Emperor again, but the story was incredible. Even missing an ending, it has so much more character and nuance than I had thought. The conflict that prompts our escape from the planet has so many layers! I'm really glad I played this version. It feels like the story we were promised, and closure for the devs not delivering on that promise.
