Most open world games are just a waste of time for people who don't do much of anything all day. They just waste so much of your time padding the experience with needless chaff, that it makes me even question how most people still are not bored with them.
Superhero games such as the #batmanarkham series or #spiderman games kind of offset the problem, by making traversal interesting and enjoyable but most other games do not and in the end you just resort to spamming fast travel to get it over with sooner.
