I've been using a few melodies developing music for my game Pizza Boss.
It's fun to use them in different contexts and see what kind of textures I can weave into!
The main melodies for Pizza Boss I'm writing in F major, looking for something to reinforce the atmosphere for the game.
Mostly its just a simple descending melody starting on Bb.
Sometimes utilizing a minor 7th for some color but mostly its very tonal.

One of the melodies for Pizza Boss uses more chromaticism.
Mostly from the minor blues scale including the minor 3rd, the tritone, and the minor 7th.

A different set of melodic and harmonic ideas I play during this improvisation,
come from development of a previous game named Observateur.
The main motif used chromaticism of the upper pentatonic of C
(g,g#,a,a#,b) while the higher voice was all diatonic in the lower
pentatonic of C (c,d,e,f,g)
Lots of interesting contrapuntal lines can be created with this concept,
and I explore a fraction of them within this improvisation.
