Suffered dropped frames and VOD cut off the last 30-40 minutes but yeah, I finally played Atomic Heart. Definitely NOT a "bad" game but feels misunderstood. Kinda makes me think of Duke Nukem meets BioShock. The Soviet Union stuff can be viewed as anti-freedom and whatnot but this is 100% alt-History fiction (Much like BioShock and Fallout) and it Hella feels like the game is showing how dangerous some of those ideas were.
Really, I feel the MachineGames' Wolfenstein series is so much worse for trying to "cool"-lize controversial ideologies, violence, even the sexuality felt distasteful... This seems like there's obvious comedy, intentional design choices, and even social warning about complete unregulated freedoms with science and whatnot.
