Brief description:
I started to work on a Postrock album, then friends joined me, and these are some previews. Also, there's not only dark stuff on the album (check 3:59, for example), just hear for yourself and listen to the whole preview video.
But I hope you've actually got the time to read the full explanation:

SO, WHAT IS THIS?
I like to work with a lot of different genres. The Postrock genre is among these. Now, a few month ago it inspired me to actually pick up a real guitar and just start a serious Postrock project, aiming to record a whole album. Soon, I found myself supported by some friends who I now consider part of the project, too. One of them, Adrian Kussin, is lending his powerful voice to every song that will have vocals. At first, I had planned this to be an instrumental one-man project only, but as soon as I heard his voice on top of the first song I recorded, I knew he just HAD to join.
Another friend, Roman Arzaroli, shares my love for Postrock, is a great Keyboarder and drummer and always chews out awesome drum patterns as if it was a walk in the park. Actually, he and I have already made a 10:44 minutes Postrock song long ago (only using synths); now, for this project, I would like to remake that song with real guitars, and, of course, I wanted him as a part of the project, as well. Unfortunately, his work cannot be heard in this preview video (but in the next upcoming one).

Why INSIDE ZOHAR?
This is not a religious project, "Zohar" is not supposed to refer to the book. The name here actually comes from a plot relevant, monolith-like object in the game Xenogears. This doesn't mean that all the songs have something to do with the game; it's just where the name comes from. Some may find it weird or nerdy to have a band name inspired by a game and I will not start to sound like a fanboy and write endless words of praise, neither am I going to try and enforce my opinion on others, so whoever does not like this game or thinks it stupid to name a band project after a game is free to do so. The only thing I'll say is that those who have played and finished this particular game will probably know how inspiring it can be.

CREDITS:
The beautiful winter picture which you can see at 1:43 - 3:36 has been taken by Matthias Diedrichs. The "Inside Zohar" writing and the intended pause sign in the top right are also of his creation, so all the other pictures in there that use this go back to Matthias' original work. I cannot thank him enough for the curious idea of putting a pause sign into the corner of the picture: It may just be my personal taste, but I find it absolutely ingenious and immediately wanted it to become a kind of symbol for this project which will be found on all pictures. It's like it's actually saying... "Pause. Take a break. Pause everything while you listen to this."
On a side note: Matthias Diedrichs and a friend of his have a project as well, called Viking and Viking and I can only recommend you to check it out: http://vimeo.com/36349291
The other pictures in this video have been taken by me.
