Integrating the arts with computer science can open doors to discovery and creation and point the way to new understandings of the aesthetic in interactions with digital technologies. I will discuss how our integrated research methodology has impacted the development of our interactive information visualizations and tabletop computing research. I will illustrate this with examples of information visualizations on tabletop displays that have been developed for accessible exploration by the general public.
