This review tests the new Intel Core i9-14900K CPU and benchmarks the Raptor Lake Refresh part vs. the i9-13900K, AMD R9 7950X, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the R5 5800X3D, and more. We already reviewed the 14700K when we looked at some of the best CPUs out in 2023, but found that it was unfortunately performing about the same as the 13700K (despite an E-core increase). The 14900K is more familiar to the 13900K than the 13700 & 14700 are to each other, so we're only expecting pointed uplift from the clock speed increase.
