While Visions of Mana was recently released, I immersed myself in Hiroki Kikuta's work on the Secret series (and discovered his fabulous music on the Playstation game "Sōkaigi"). Plus, it made me want to remix this “Into the Thick of It” from Secret of Mana. This music brought back good memories for me, I had spent a lot of time on this RPG which had the particularity of being playable by two people, something extraordinary for the time.
I'm certainly in a more acoustic than electronic period, so the arrangement gives pride of place to traditional sounds (even if I did put a bit of Roland Juno at the end!).
