Introducing TRIVIAGATE (Coming February 1, 2017)
14This is Triviagate. Actually, this is just the preview video for Triviagate, our brand new game show debuting on February 1st. We're only a few days away from the launch and I want to take a moment to talk about the name, format and schedule.
But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, because Triviagate is a brand new half hour show where I ask three contestants a series of challenging questions related to the games industry. In fact, let me introduce you to the first three guinea pigs. Up first we have Tino Montelli, who has a YouTube channel called TDude64. He's followed by Jim Lewandowski, who talks about pinball on a YouTube channel called Croooow111. And then there's Brandon Mayo, who writes for a webcomic called hawkandcroc.com.
I asked each of these contestants twenty different questions across four categories. I wanted to see if they knew their stuff when it came to mascot games, Sega oddities and ancient fighting games. And let me tell you, I have the first episode ready to go and it's a close one. It will have you guessing right up to the end, and it's the best way to start this series.
I'm not going to lie, I have been humbled by the outpouring of interest since I put up the call for contestants. My plan is to work everybody into an episode, as well as highlight some popular game journalists and developers. We're going to be airing new episodes of Triviagate every other Wednesday until I run out of people, so expect a full season that will stretch throughout the year.
I'm excited and a little anxious to show you the finished episode. I think we have something special, and I hope you'll agree. So make sure and tune in to the very first episode on February 1st and see which one of these gamers will survive Triviagate.
