It is with great happiness I can say we finally finished the Callisto Protocol! The final boss was definitely a trip, and in the end I think we finished up with almost 100 deaths throughout the playthrough! It definitely had some good points and overall I think is a worthwhile play if you enjoy survival horror. The atmosphere and sound design is great, and the monsters are scary. However it definitely suffered from the "dead space" formula. The difficulty is inconsistent and soft-locking is very easy to do, and the lighting is extremely washed out. Also manual saves don't work? But whatever, I'm glad we played this game, and I'm equally glad to never touch it again!
