These trains come through very fast at times, especially at night. We have installed alarms on our doors because last year I was sleepwalking outside and got 3rd degree burns on my hands. We have a radiator heater we use on the porch and I stood there, while sleepwalking, and my hands cooked on it for an undetermined amount of time before I finally woke up. To 3rd degree burns with my hands on top of the radiator.
Fear I would walk onto the tracks is what led to alarms on our doors. I don't try to cook on our stove, only the microwave.. so not worried about that.
I've seen people and animals killed on these 2 blocks of train tracks too many times in the last 5yrs. Some intentional and some accidental.
We have homes very close to these CSX train tracks. Some of us are facing the train tracks and our front yards are the tracks.
