She may be starring in the newly-released "X-Men: First Class," but the film everyone is really waiting to see Jennifer Lawrence in is next year's "The Hunger Games." Based on the best-selling young adult, sci-fi series by author Suzanne Collins, Lawrence recently discussed her coveted role as Katniss Everdeen with MTV. "It's lots of training," Jennifer admitted about her iconic role, "but the training's actually really fun. I've done archery for about six weeks, and rock climbing, tree climbing—and combat, running and vaulting. But also yoga and things like that, to stay catlike!"

In the books, 16 year-old Katniss lives in a post-apocalyptic world where the government stages deadly fights between boys and girls for entertainment. Originally published in 2008, the book has been translated into 26 different languages based on its widespread popularity. Ever since Lawrence graced the May 27 cover of Entertainment Weekly as Katniss, diehard fans of the books who were initially critical of her casting have been silenced.

"Personally, I loved it," The Hob's Amanda Belcher said. "Not only was it a really good representation of Jennifer as Katniss, but I love the attention to detail that both Lionsgate and EW put into it."

The first installment of the trilogy has already attracted other A-list stars including Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Lenny Kravitz. The release date is slated for March 23, 2012.
