"I would have liked to have played eleven in Stranger Things, but I think I was slightly out of the casting age." – Jodie Whittaker
Welcome Jodie Whittaker
We’re joined on the Starline by an actress who has worked in film, television, radio and theatre. You’ve seen her in "Black Mirror", "Broadchurch", "Trust Me" and a minor British sci-fi show. Her latest project has her playing Orla in the BBC’s 3-part women’s prison drama “Time”. We welcome Jodie Whittaker.

Jodie, let’s go Beyond the Mic. You didn’t consult to anyone who had been in prison before you shot this, which made your shots more real and raw. The emotions you, Tamara and Bella portray in this show are incredible. Why was this project so important to you and how was working with the incredible cast and crew change you?

How did your own two children help or hurt you with the scenes with your characters three child co-stars?

Orla was in a prison because of her poor choices, but do you think she will ever be free…

Do you think she’ll ever be free of the prison of her own mind?
The Rockin' 8:
It’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions, answer with the first thing that comes to your mind.

There is absolutely no Pressure.

1. Favorite memory from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama?

2. What gives you joy right now?

3. Best thing about your husband Christian?

4. Favorite song right now?

5. Best food you have ever had from craft services?

6. Growing up what’s the one thing you wanted to be other than an actor?

7. Best thing about Skemanthorpe?

8. One thing you took from the Doctor Who set?
The Back Half:
If you were sent to prison for a crime, what crime would it be?

As you explore other roles what type of roles do you want to be offered? What would be fun for you to be called to do?
One Big Question:
You are an over-tactile, over-sharer but what’s the one thing you won’t do?

Why should people watch Time?

Where can people find you online?
The Wrap:
Jodie Whittaker took her sonic screwdriver with her, listening to Sadie right now and wants you to watch the powerful “Time” on Britbox. Jodie thanks for taking the time to talk with us today.

And that my friends is a Beyond the Mic Short Cut.
