0I wanted to like this, I really did. I was all set to start yet another series to run alongside Bastion and Avencast. But... eh.
Even discounting the annoying graphics glitch, the combat is frustrating in a way that Souls never was, and honestly I only got as far as I did due to slightly wonky AI. This is a game that skirts so close to being great, but falls at the last hurdle.
I think anyone trying to make a top-down Soulslike needs to look into combining the smooth, reactive combat of Titan Souls with the atmosphere and world design of this game. Both have great ideas, but neither are something I particularly enjoy playing.
