This is another case of a game that got terrible review scores despite actually being a pretty good FPS game in it's own right. I haven't played very far into it, and while it has it's share of flaws and imperfections, Dredd vs Death plays way better than the reviews would have you believe.

Alongside the single-player story mode, there is also an arcade mode similar to the challenge modes in Timesplitters, and also multiplayer, and bunch of unlocakables. What I have played of the single player is a solid experience as well. It's not just a corridor crawl where you go from point A to point B shooting everything, yes, that is a part of the game, but there are sections where you interact with the general public, and well, arrest them for anything, breaking up the action.

The game isn't perfect, but the gunplay feels solid, the frammerate in the PS2 version takes some hits, but not to an unplayable level, and the melee can be hit or miss literally.

This game was released on the PS2, GC, Xbox, and PC, and I like what I have played of it so far. If you are a forgiving gamer that can handle a game with some flaws, but also with a myriad of unlockable extras, and some fun challenge modes, look into Dredd vs Death on whatever platform you can find it on.
