If you want a good example of what "platform game" meant in the early days of the Atari 8-bit, Jumpman Junior from Epyx is pretty much a perfect example! Challenging levels that combine puzzle-solving with dexterity and timing, interesting mechanics and simple but solid presentation make this a great game to revisit even today.

Atari A to Z is a weekly series that gradually works its way through the Atari 8-bit's catalogue of games, one letter at a time. Once we get to Z, we go back to A and start all over again!

New episodes on Tuesdays.
