June 2024 Box Office Recap
3Here's my box office recap for June 2024. And wow, to say June was a comeback month would be a huge understatement. After a disastrous May, it seemed all hope was lost until several movies showed that there was still life at the box office. The biggest success story was by far and away Inside Out 2, a movie that destroyed any and all expectations, becoming 2024's first billion-dollar movie. Not to mention, it became Pixar's biggest movie of all time. So much for all that negative Pixar talk. In addition, Bad Boys: Ride or Die and A Quiet Place: Day One did very well for themselves, showing that these franchises still had life in them. Sure, June wasn't perfect as there were several underperformers (The Watchers, The Bikeriders, Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1), but overall, it was the month 2024 needed desperately. And it's looking like July will be a solid month as well.
