Katawa Shoujo Beta Version - Hanako Bad Ending 3
46Warning: The beta bad endings for Hanako are extremely grimdark, and if you are extremely attached to Hanako this beta route will probably make you unable to look at Hanako the same ever again. Watch at your own risk, and keep in mind that this is the third bad ending. Yes, three bad endings if you haven't seen the others already. Another thing to keep in mind is that it was originally intended that you had to get the bad endings before you could get Hanako's Good Ending.
Note: Seeing as how this is a multi-language game, and this is still a beta version, there are many grammar errors lurking in Hanako's bad ending routes. There is also no art or scenery, but the story itself is complete.
The beta version of Hanako's path contains three bad endings, all of which take place in Act 4 - Mors Mortis (Latin for "Death" or "Cause of death/destruction.")
Well, this Latin phrase doesn't lie about anything, these routes are rather grimdark for the sake of being grimdark. In the beta, Hanako's act 3 is unfinished. What remains in the Act 3 script is Hisao, Lilly, and Hanako deciding to spend time together in town, where they end up at the Shanghai. The script repair explains from there.
Once you went through all of these bad endings, there would be a divergence inside Lilly's route. Lilly would end up in the hospital, but she would tell you to take care of Hanako. You could either choose to take care of Lilly, or take care of Hanako. If you chose Hanako, you would enable the "Hanatrue" route, leading you into Hanako's Good Ending. However, the area in-game that this was actually supposed to happen at is unknown.
Katawa Shoujo is a bishoujo-style visual novel set in the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located somewhere in modern Japan. Hisao Nakai, a normal boy living a normal life, has his life turned upside down when a congenital heart defect forces him to move to a new school after a long hospitalization. Despite his difficulties, Hisao is able to find friends—and perhaps love, if he plays his cards right. There are five main paths corresponding to the 5 main female characters, each path following the storyline pertaining to that character. This is the beta.
