Keeway RKF 2021 UK Review of Keeway RKF 125cc
As I mention my 1st review video I did of this bike was a month after having it which gained 5000+ views, FREE advertising..... YOU ARE WELCOME KEEWAY ...... and everything seemed fine and I thought wow these seem a good company it wasnt until I had problems that I realised I was wrong....
This is my personal opinion after owning my Keeway RKF 125cc for 12 months.
This opinion is after the 1st & second service having covered 2600+ miles.
As I say in the video I posted on their facebook page post warning other potential customers to do their research, as their aftersales is horrendous, the bikes have silly unreliable faults and the parts can take weeks and even months to be delivered/replaced under warranty.
I have had a gear position sensor fault on my bike since about 600 miles, I have had 2 services since (1st & 2nd) and my issue still hasnt he resolved (dealer did all tests on componants and checked out all fine). The dealer I bought it from has tried constantly to get an answer from Keeway UK but they say it is something they have never come across and need to escilate it to Keeway Technical..... 🤔 I thought Keeway were in control of their their own brand... nope Keeway UK are only licenced to sell Keeway in the UK under the company Motogb... Keeway China are the main company, this is what takes so long and this is what the dealers do not tell you about when selling you these bikes! They finally came back with an answer CHANGE THE ECU (keeway sends out ECU)..... after 6 months of waiting. Now my dealership has asked is it plug and play or does the ECU need programming to my bike before it is fitted....... he hasnt had a confident yes or no answer to his question so he has asked to have my bike while he tried botj ways.... Meaning my I will have no transport to work for a few days.
SO DO YOUR RESEARCH, join forums, facebook pages and ask honest opinions and experiences and make your own choice from that.
If you are looking for a cheap bike throw away 125 because you are only usingvit to gain experience whole you pass your Direct access then these cheap bikes are ideal for that, but keep in mind of them running the risk if multiple faults, the product failing and having to hunt yourself or wait months for parts under warrenty then Keeway is the company for you!
If you plan on a 125cc long term then spend the extra money and go for the well known brands , Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha as you will have better reliability and also far better aftersales with these companies which you are clearly paying for.
I hope this helps,
