Kid Chameleon in Unreal Engine 5 (Beginner Project Update)
About 2 weeks ago I decided to download Unreal Engine 5 for the 2nd time. About a year ago I tried it out and got very discouraged very fast. This time I wanted to give it another go around.
Rather than just try to make something from scratch, I decided to take one of my favorite childhood games and see what it could look like as a 2.5D Side Scroller. I'm using only free assets i could find online
Video Quality isn't the best, as I'm screen capturing this directly from the viewport editor within UE5 and have a long way to go in the realm of optimization
For experienced Unreal Engine developers, this might be painful to watch lol
There is a long way to go, with a lot of learning to do, but so far the progress I've made in 2 weeks I'm pretty happy about, and this video is just to document where I'm currently at.
This project will likely never be finished (the game is huge for a Genesis Game) or ever released
