King Arthur's Heir for the Atari 8-bit family
Came also out for:
???
Game description:
You have earned the trust of the English king and legend Arthur Pendragon and he has chosen you as his heir over his hated nephew Mordred.
But before you can finally become his heir you have to do one last task: retrieve the mystical scroll.
King Arthur's Heir is a 2D RPG set in England. You go to villages and towns to purchase items and in the wilderness you fight monsters. The fights are turn-based and based on luck rather than skill.
What I think:
While it is fun to explore England, the rest of the game is, sadly, not. You start with low HP, the monsters are damn strong (which I didn't even bother to fight one) and the worst part of the game is if you want to cross water. It says that you have to be in a boat although you ARE in one, making landing rather frustrating.
You can also use artificating here, but it just doesn't look good. But maybe that's just me...
