Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4) - Verum Rex (Critical Mode) *No Gigas*
Yes, this is a thing you can actually do. I know I am jumping the gun here a bit with KH2 still going but I wanted to get at least something KH3 related out and I figured I would do this now with Critical Mode being out.
Now before anyone asks, no, it is not possible to do this on Level 1. Not as in this is impossible at Level 1 but rather it's impossible to BE Level 1 in this minigame. Verum Rex has this unusual quirk where the Sora you play as is not your own but rather a pre-built one. It's kind of like how non-permanent characters and party members don't scale with your level. In this minigame Sora always has Kingdom Key, the move Speed Slash, no items and the customize menu you see here. Though if you have Aero it will be added to the list. Sora also always has the same level and stats that you would theoretically have at this point in the game with his HP and MP scaling based on choice and difficulty. This also means you don't have any of your bonus abilities you get from Critical Mode which is a shame because early Risk Dodge would be extremely useful here.
Aside from Sora being scaled up, the enemies are also scaled down. The normal Gigas have very low HP and can be killed with either a 3 hit combo or 2 Thunders. However despite being scaled down they still do a lot of damage and on Critical your health is low enough that a full barrage and most melee attacks are instant death.
Obviously trying to actually fight all these monsters at once is not really viable so your best option is to exploit the lightning trap in the center. Occasionally the center will light up and kill everything in it. Note that you have to be careful as this floor hurts you too and kills normal Sora in one hit even when not on Critical Mode. You also have to be careful of the slope as the edge of the trap can be slid down and trap you in the sliding animation. I actually fell into this trap at point but by pure luck, the floor killed the last enemies of the wave and triggered the cutscene allowing me to escape death.
The golden gigas could have probably been handled much better. He becomes immune to the floor after a while but I am not sure if its based on damage or health. It might be possible to get a bit more damage on him from the floor before using Ragnarok to finish him. Otherwise, you just need to take it slow as he goes nuts in the second phase shooting lasers and bombs everywhere. That entire last phase of the fight was absolutely terrifying for me.
