After clearing out all the early game worlds we make an early stop at the final dungeon to fight Vanitas.

Phase 1 has a 1v1 against Vanitas that does not last long. After about 30 seconds you get "rescued" by Michael Rat. On one hand Michael splits the boss Agro and you can do a team attack with him. On the other hand that team attacks sucks, he does basically no damage to the boss, and he cuts off your source of links so this could be a blessing or a curse.

Vanitas somewhat reminds me of the Riku fight in KH1 where he will counter after every third or fifth hit but instead of a haha screw you swipe he will pause then warp behind you to drop from the sky so you have a chance to dodge.

Definitely not an easy fight but a surprisingly fun and fast paced battle which we've been lacking playing as Terra.

I keep the failed attempt in because there's a checkpoint after phase 1.

Difficulty: 6.5/10 definitely tricky but I was able to beat it second try on proud mode so it isn't too bad.
