Re:Mind DLC - Tips and guide on how to defeat Young Xehnaort Data on proud. This is not exactly a clean playthrough; although, it has the some explanation on the vulnerabilities of Young Xehanort. Compared to Vanitas, this boss has more openings. You will still need to block/dodge a lot of times and use your reprisal ability wisely. He always starts the battle dashing/teleporting 3 times and then attacking you after. Block the first 4 whip attacks and then get ready to press circle (dodge) after the his fifth strike. This will make Sora go behind giving you a chance to attack him with your combos. Take note that after a certain number of attacks, he will teleport and try to stop time and attack you with a powerful attack. If he does his spin attack, block them all and do a counterattack on the 3rd spin. If he starts doing the ice attack, focus on block the ice; don't be distracted by his attacks. Blocking the ice will also block his attacks. He will try to do some whip attacks after his ice attacks. Make sure to press O (dodge) when prompted. You will dash behind him, which gives you a chance to attack. Once his HP goes low, he will stop time and cast armor to himself. You will need to look for the chance to attack him. Be careful though, his attacks and teleportation here are fast. Be careful when doing a reprisal. You can also use some link attacks; meow meow balloon and simba's roar looks effective here. Although, you will still get damage by Young Xehanort. Take note that he will also stop time before his HP drops to zero.
Young Xehanort also has the ability to heal himself (not in this video). Do not melee him when he does this, as this will make him stop time and attack you. You can instead use your focus attack while he is doing healing.

I am using Ultima keyblade and I am level 99 here by the way. You need a lot of finesse to defeat Re:Mind DLC secret bosses.
