Oh wow, this seems to one of the ten existing Kirby fangames that looks like it's gonna have dedication to be finished.
Neat demo that was released a short while ago, developed by Alex Auger.
It's pretty good.

This game's main thing seems to be the Dual Wielding mechanic, where you can have two Copy Abilities at the same time, and can switch between them at will with the press of a button.
This demo only contains 3 abilities: Cutter, Fire and Icy Sword. I assume that due to the limited amount, most enemies will give you abilities that don't really fit them, and this won't be the case in the final game?
A cool thing is how you can actually cancel moves into each other, not just from the same ability, but by switching abilities. Hold Up and then mash Attack and Switch in the air with Cutter and Icy Sword. The results may surprise you.

This demo version, that being the Wacky Episode, was made mostly for the purpose of getting people to try out Dual Wielding instead of just being shown in a one-minute video. It has 3 stages, each with their own boss, and 3 Boss Challenges, unlocked by finding a certain number of Heart Fragments scattered in the stages.
These stages and bosses won't be in the final game, or at least in the state they're in in this demo. Again, this version of it was made to get people to try out Dual Wielding.

You can damage bosses with Air Bullets, which is cool, but I believe it upsets the natural order.
By the way, you don't need to mash for the shmup fights. Just hold any of the keys, you have autofire.

There are slight performance issues for me, but they're mainly just when recording, or only when hitting the boss in the shmup fights. It's fine otherwise.
Although what I would recommend probably is an option to rebind keys for keyboard play. At least mainly because Z is one of said keys, so I have to use my AutoHotKey script since my default key is kinda broken. That and also Backspace to get rid of an ability is kinda awkward.
Other than that little nitpick, demo's good. I'm looking forward to the final game, whenever that may be, I'll patiently wait.
