PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT (SEE COMMENTS FOR FULL):
00:00 Andrew, when we asked Kerr what got into you in the second half, he said it was that Desmond Bane running into you at the end of the first. Was that what got into you or what was it about third quarter that got you going?
00:13 ANDREW WIGGINS: I feel like that bump, definitely just woke me up a little bit. It was a physical game. He made a good play, bumped me hard, bumped me pretty hard. So I think that definitely got me going.
00:27 Did you try to get him back on transition?
00:29 I missed. Yeah.
00:33 Steve said Kuminga's injury is significant. They'll know more tomorrow. But how do you think this team will respond to losing him for however many games?
00:43 JK is — if he's not playing, he's gonna be missed, for sure. You've seen what he's been been doing these last few games. He's been killing. He's been hooping both sides of floor defensively, offensively. He's been doing his thing. So the whole team has to rise up, do it collectively and hoop.
01:11 Andrew, the way you guys shot three-pointers without Steph tonight and two other guards out, I mean, what does that say about this group and Lindy coming in there and taking advantage of his shots?
01:23 Yeah. A lot of guys came in and, I mean, were huge today. Like you said, Lindy, Buddy, Kyle came in and did a great job. So a lot of guys came in and helped get this W.
01:42 Just a follow up on Kuminga, is this the best you've seen him play these past couple of weeks?
01:49 For sure. For sure. Just offensively, I know offensively, it's there, for sure. He's making good decisions. He's scoring at all three levels. Defensively, I feel like he took a big jump, too. He's been guarding off-ball, on-ball. I can just see the growth every game and he's getting better and better. He's gonna have a big year.
02:16 Obviously got the trade deadline coming up in a while, but it's coming up and there's names out there. You guys hadn't played great, lost then won the last two. How much is it, like, "Let's win some games to show this group should stick together, that this group can do it"?
02:29 Yeah, I mean, that's what we wanna do. You never know what could happen. It's a crazy league and crazy things happen, but as long as everyone hoops and stays connected together and play our heart out, I think we're gonna have a good chance to stay here and keep hooping.
02:51 You went for 18 in the third quarter. Did that feel like, "Hey, this is still gettable for me. I can still do this." Any kind of thought like that in your head?
02:59 Oh, for sure. I never try to doubt my ability to score or anything like that. I just try to let the game come naturally for me and score and do whatever I can within the flow of the game.
03:14 You got that applause when you got subbed out late in the third.
03:16 Yeah, I mean, I always appreciate the love. When you're down, your teammates lift you up. And when you're up, playing good, your teammates lift you up. And that's so important, brotherhood and being connected and having great teammates.
03:32 Steve spoke at length about just Kyle's professionalism and his ability to stay ready. Just what's it been like having Kyle as a teammate this year?
