L.A. Noire is a 2011 action/adventure detective noir game from Rockstar and Team Bondi. Set in the late 1940's Los Angeles, the game focuses on World War 2 veteran and hero Cole Phelps as he returns to L.A. and joins the LAPD where he quickly makes a name for himself and rises up through the ranks, solving cases involving homicide, drugs, arson, and more.

In this first episode, we get some context and meet Cole as he takes on a number of his first patrol jobs with the LAPD, earning his first promotion to traffic by the end of the episode.
