This is taken from my Advanced difficulty playthrough of the Blood Harvest campaign, I was clearing a dark room of idle Common Infected when a horde of them seemingly spawned all around us in the room. Some may say they just came into the room from behind. However, judging by how loud they were, how quickly they surrounded us, and how little time it took to finish them all off, they most definitely spawned in the room with me. I've even seen hordes come out of this same room on other playthroughs, so I already know it's a spawn location.
