The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 is crafted in the same model as its well renowned older brother the Yoga 13, with is 5-point multi-touch screen, full-fledged keyboard and multi-mode use. The system is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30 mobile processor with a 5th battery saver core and integrated NVIDIA ULP (ultra low power) GeForce graphics. The 11.6" capacitive touchscreen features 5-point touch support. The screen features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 native resolution. It also has 2GB of 1600MHz DDR3L RAM, 64GB of eMMC flash storage, a Secure Digital media card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated webcam and microphone. There are also built-in stereo speakers. Hardware-wise the Yoga 11 is very impressive and really feels like a portable tablet/laptop hybrid. But that is where the love hate relationship begins.
Yoga 11 comes in at under 3lbs (2.73lbs to be exact) and it's crafted as the perfection travel companion device, with its unique swivel hinge that aids in putting the device in 4 practical use modes, which we have been well accustomed to with the Yoga 13. But here comes the problem; Windows RT really holds the devices back from reaching its full potential, with the lack of apps and desktop functionality does take advantage of the design, battery life and feature set. As much as I would love to recommend the Yoga 11, I would say wait for the Yoga 11s, which aims to take full advantage of Windows 8 Pro with all the same feature sets we loved in the Yoga 11.
