The combat is great fun as well, it rewards you for thinking strategically. Mostly in the form of environmental hazards, like not standing in water when lightning spells are being flung around or not standing near an oil barrel when fire is a distinct possibility. Beware though, you're not the only one who will be trying to utilize them. The ai WILL stunlock you given the chance, so do be observant or suffer the consequences.
The other big selling point is every quest has multiple ways of completing them. There is rarely only 1 way of doing things. For simplicity sake say we know someone will murder an innocent if left alone. Do you A: kill the unbalanced individual before that possibly angering the guards yourself? B: Trick them into believing their target's already dead? Or C: Have them arrested? Just an example but a pretty accurate one.
