Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. In this episode we start the mission Ever a Splinter. We begin to make our way back to the observatory, but try to do so stealthily.We are first tasked with freeing the guardian hostages. Once we make it to the observatory, we are greeted by a gruesome sight as soldiers are being vaporized by a mysterious light. We hear screaming in Spanish and watch as the landscape shifts and changed in front of us. After some platforming, we find Loreano Torres at the end of the path. We have to fight off some guards and use the Observatories defenses to kill some of them via vaporization. Once we finish with this, we have to do more climbing and platforming to reach Loreano's location. We try to take him out from a distance with a gun shot, but he appears to be protected. We find our way above him and drop down for an assassination, taking him out once and for all. Our friends join us and we put the crystal skull back in it's proper place, with a plan to seal up the observatory. We receive a letter that appears to be important, but desynchronize before we can see what it says, and awaken from our animus to someone that looks like a descendant of Captain Roberts. He appears to have lost his mind, and is taking me hostage. Police break down the door and gun him down. We pass out to wake up back in Abstergo. We then spend some time hacking various computers and learning more about some of the characters in the game. We unlock the Ghost in the Machine achievement for hacking a certain amount of the computers. Once we unlock this we decide to take a break and will return for the final sequence.
