We're playing Baldur's Gate 3 as Monk, speccing into the Way of the Open Hand at lvl 3. I expect there to be a lot punching and kicking and throwing and shoving and looking good while doing that. Also, we obviously are extremely introspective and reflective not only about how bad ass we just kicked some to death, but also who that dude actually was.

So, after reviewing this and checking out some online sources: We should have placed Oskars portrait on the magic easel, which would have opened up the secret door. I was so distracted by this obnoxious Poltergeist fight and the even more obnoxious cursed skulls that I completely missed any hints and just went into full braindead autopilot mode. I burned Lady Jannaths portraits - even got a warning confirmation from the actual source of evil - and proceeded to just lock pick the door. I blame this horrible event and my small brain.

I don't think I actually said that out loud: I thought that the magic easel was this magic torch that we are supposed to find, so burning the right picture might solve the puzzle. It's not. It didn't.

After an eternity I finally notice Oskar's portrait and use it on the easel. It doesn't do anything, because I should have done that to open the secret room. Nothing happens, because I lock picked the secret room. Sorry for this trash ass game play...

After ending the stream prematurely, I kept my annoyance level up, which made me check online for this quest line. I now know what the next step is supposed to be. Mystic Carrion is a person... We'll continue this quest next episode.
