7Let's Play Ball X Pit. Gameplay. Walkthrough. Tutorial.
In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Ball X Pit (Steam Next Fest). This is a Roguelite (Arcade Like) Survival Action RPG Dungeon Crawler using Breakout game mechanics with some Strategy City Builder elements. It's almost like a Vampire Survivor Action RPG but you shoot balls from your Hero that uses the original "Pong" mechanics where Balls are bouncing off the walls and monsters returning back to the player. Use the balls to attack monsters dealing damage to them. You're basically playing Breakout and Arkanoid. You can move your hero around the Dungeon Tunnel Hallway environment with monsters moving towards you. It's almost like Tetris with the monsters invasion moving towards row by row in shapes of tiles. Collect Gems that drops to gain XP to level your hero. When your Hero levels up, you get to pick Unique Balls (like Spell choices) or upgrade existing balls. Your goal is to clear the waves of monsters and clear the dungeon to obtain resources and materials to take back to your city to use in constructing various buildings. This base building mechanic is similar to "Loop Hero" and "The King Is Watching" where you can only build resource tiles in the limited space that you have. Ball X Pit has you harvesting your resources in an arcade style. Ball X Pit also reminds me of Drop Duchy. It's an interesting roguelite take on dungeon crawling, city building, and arcade action. I recommend adding this game to your Steam Wishlist.
