Let's Play Digimon World: Next Order Part 26 - Clearing Chapter 1
1Continuing on from the previous part, I take on Machinedramon again with my mega level digimon.
With my digimon being stronger than the previous battle, I manage to defeat Machinedramon this time around!
After the Machinedramon has turned back into a Gotsumon, Rikka returns with Mameo.
Mameo, who doesn't confirm if that is his real name, is impressed that I was able to defeat the Machinedramon.
With Rikka questioning him, Mameo explains how this is a complete misunderstanding.
He goes on to reveal why and how he came to the digital world, and how his partner digimon has been cursed into being an unhatched egg.
The reason for all the sudden Machinedramon attacks is revealed to be due to the curse of Analogman from the original Digimon world. (He doesn't mention his name, but it's clearly him!)
This also reveals that Mameo is the grown up protagonist from Digimon world! (His hat looks a lot cheaper than it did in the first game!)
Along with revealing all of that, Mameo also reveals that we can't get back to the real world until we can fix the connection between the digital and real worlds.
After learning about all of these things, Kouta, Yukimura and Luche show up to tell us that the Machinedramon detector is picking up a lot of signals here!
Before we can even think of getting out of the area, multiple Machinedramon start to show up!
As all hope looks lost, a portal suddenly appears out of nowhere!
The powerful digimon that comes out of this portal one shots every single one of the Machinedramon without saying a word.
But the idea of this digimon being on our side is quickly shattered when it tries to attack Luche!
After the protagonist saves Luche before she gets hit, the only thing our heroes can do now is run.
But this digimon is too fast, and easily corners everyone.
And once again, as all hope seems lost, another portal opens up.
With an unknown female voice telling everyone to get into the portal, everyone is just about able to escape before the powerful digimon attacks.
This portal that everyone jumped into takes us to a similar looking place to the Machinedramon trap Jijimon used at the start of the game.
It is here where we meet a new character, a mysterious woman name Mirei.
Not having a lot of time to talk, she explains that the Machinedramon attacks are happening due to a virus called the BH program.
Along with explaining how this virus changes digimon, she also explains that the powerful digimon we encountered was the enforcer, who has clearly been taken over by the BH program.
So the questions here are: Who made this virus? And how do we stop it? Well she doesn't have much time left before she gets disconnected from everyone, so Mirei says that I'm the only one who can get to the bottom of this, and that we should inform the rest of the digimon about the BH program.
After the connection to Mirei ends, we find ourselves in nigh plains.
Puzzled, but thankful for her saving our lives, Kouta and Himari wonder who Mirei is.
This lengthy scene then finally ends with Mameo running off to Floatia to say hi to the Jijimon of this world.
And so with that scene out of the way, I go on a ramble about Mirei's character.
Or to be more specific, I ramble about her and Rina being from a Digimon world game that didn't get released outside of Japan!
After rambling about that, I notice that Etemon has appeared in nigh plains now that we've moved onto chapter 2!
Before heading back to Floatia, I accept his request to look for a new battery for his microphone.
Returning to the city, we get another lengthy cutscene.
With Mameo having already explained everything to Jijimon and Taomon, and clearing himself of being a suspect, everyone is up to date on everything.
Along with everyone thinking about what to do next, Himari and Kouta continue to be puzzled by Mirei.
After the cutscene finally ends, I hear from Jijimon that Gotsumon has now joined the city. (He trades rocks inside the builder building.)
But wait! There is one more cutscene to see here! (So many cutscenes in this part!)
As I leave Jijimon's house, Mameo talks to me, and hands over the prototype antivirus he's been working on.
Why would he give that to me and not someone like Jijimon or Taomon? Well he explains that, due to us getting out more to bring digimon back to the city, it would be more useful for me to hold onto it.
After that cutscene, I talk to Himari, Kouta, Rikka, Yukimura and Gotsumon before saving the game.
