Now obviously this is an occurrence that we're all used to, right? Piccolo teams up with Goku to defeat the stronger and more threatening Raditz; "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and all that. However, when you look at the events that have transpired thus far with Goku and Piccolo being bitter enemies at the start of this game, I'd like to think that alone gives this far more gravity.

Piccolo wants to take over the world but can't do so if there's no world left to conquer, and Goku has a better chance at defeating Piccolo than Raditz by himself. Not a bad bargain in their eyes.
