This battle showed pretty much the main things I hate about this game. One is bosses who run away and provide no reward when doing so. There is warning that this will happen so this means you have to redo the entire level or reload a save and try again. This is more annoying due to the fact that no one really dies in Touhou or this game so defeating them (reducing their HP to zero) is no different from letting them flee from having their health hit a certain level. It is an unnecessary mechanic that adds a sort of puzzle aspect that is not needed in the game.

The second thing is being killed by Graze damage. Grazing in Touhou is about narrowly dodging an attack. In Touhou there is no partial damage, it is either it hits and kills you or it misses. So being killed by Grazing truly contradicts the purpose of Grazing in the first place. Also, you should get Graze points for GRAZING. Its how the mechanic works.
