๐ง Originally released on the PS1, this fighting combo-based turn-based RPG (yes, a unique combination of elements for sure!) is being upscaled to look HD on the PC, thanks to higher processing powers to bring you the best possible quality using the RetroArch emulation tool. Not going to say it is HD, but it looks great! This was a requested game by an amazing friend of the channel: Kyle DePaepe, who was partly responsible (along with the amazing Ashenda Firemyst) for bringing Skies of Arcadia Legends to this community. Now, we embark on a new adventure to restore the Genesis Trees and stop the Mist from destroying the world. Thank you so very much for recommending this to us as we stop the Seru from eliminating humanity!

๐ง About #LegendofLegaia (from the Wiki, which needs updating because the amount of information there is so small! Let's show some more love to this game): Humans have reached the limit due to the Seru, statuesque objects with special abilities, i.e. lifting objects heavier than themselves or flying. The Mist spreads everywhere in the world. The Seru become sentient and rebel against humanity, and civilization collapses as a result. Aided by Ra-Seru, a type of holy Seru, the heroes work to revive all Genesis Trees.
The player can select a target during battle. Each character performs on the phase based on status. Instead of Fight command, the player sees corresponding vertical strikes. Each direction has abilities for skills. They perform a string of attacks with random input. The gauge increases for each turn. The number of strikes are affected by several factors. Weapons deal more damage for combos called Arts. The player can reveal it for characters. Arts Points uses Arts, draining in quantity and proportionate on length. The character performs sequences for combos. AP can be earned by dealing less damage without Arts, damaging opponents or using Spirit. Arts can be linked by each inputs. The Art ending connects with another Art, starting with down, for the player to use two Arts in a row costing fewer inputs. For spirits, each characters use defensive stances for a turn to regain AP and boost the gauge length on the next turn. Some boss battles involve enemies after the characters use spirits. Humans can absorb the power and strengthen Ra-Seru, to level up and cause effects. The Seru uses magical elements for any type of attacks and spells.
