In this series:
I just play through the story mode of LEGO DC Super Villains. Batman no longer has top billing (which could be interpreted as the legacy of a 2000s LEGO theme that just had Batman characters and is what the first LEGO Batman video game was based on) and this is a rather loose adaption of Forever Evil, a DC storyline from 2013. In my first playthrough, due to my lack of knowledge of the comics, I mistakenly thought this was another original storyline.
In this episode:
Lex and a group of other villains go to recruit Gorilla Grodd, whose personality in this game would be uncharacteristic in the mainline comics. And the Rookie gets redesigned again, though I'm keeping the current cape and skirt because taking advantage of that bug that lets them clip into each other is funny.
No copyright infringement intended. All characters (with the possible exception of the custom ones) belong to DC. This game was developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (though the Mac version was outsourced to be both developed and published by Feral Interactive, but I’m playing this game on Windows), so either or both (and maybe also LEGO and/or DC) could be considered the authors of this game for the purposes of copyright. The song Joker and the Thief (which is part of the game) was made by Wolfmother, since while it wasn't content ID matched THIS TIME, it doesn't seem to affect monetization.
