39In this episode the origins of the Guns 'N Roses naming convention is revealed, we fire lightning into a whale's butt, appreciate good boss design, fight Squid Adler, Duff Mcwhalen, and Izzy Glow, and fire the Enigma Shot.
This 100% run includes: All 8 heart containers, all 4 sub tanks (2 energy tanks, 1 ex tank, 1 weapon tank), all 8 armor capsules (Gaea armor and Falcon armor), both sets of ultimate armors, rescuing all reploids, and getting a special part/item from each level 8 boss (you get a choice of 2 for each boss for a total of 16; this is 1 playthrough so the max I can get is 8).

Following the events of X4 Sigma has sent the space colony Eurasia on a collision course with Earth in Mega Man X5. X5 and Zero have 16 hours to save the planet by gathering parts protected by 8 mavericks. These parts will be used to repair the Enigma, a super weapon intended to destroy the colony before it comes crashing into the Earth. Failing that Zero will have to pilot a shuttle into the falling space colony in a kamikaze mission to avert a catastrophic impact.
Originally intended to be the last entry in the Mega Man X franchise, X5 introduced tons of new mechanics to the series along with numerous possible endings. Among these mechanics includes: crouching, the ability to switch between X and Z during stage select, enhancement parts that can be attached to your armor, a leveling system for bosses, two seperate armor upgrades (Gaea and Falcon), a timer until Eurasia crashes into the Earth which impacts the way the story unfolds, rescuable reploids, stage ranking, a harder difficulty mode, a training mode, a virus/infection system, and more.
Also all the bosses in the English version are named after members of Guns N' Roses members for reasons.
