🐧 Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a game that exists and in my effort to playthrough every Ace Attorney game, that means we first got to dive into the world of Professor Layton and the Curious Village. This version of Professor Layton is a remake of the DS versions, though I have nothing to base that on but fans of this series might find new mysteries and secrets in this new enhanced version. Let's dive into the world of Professor Layton as I intend to playthrough the first three games to build up to the ultimate crossover!

🐧 About #professorlayton and the Curious Village (from their main page): With puzzles created by Akira Tago, author of the “Atama no Taisou” (lit. “Head Gymnastics”) books, Professor Layton and the Curious Village brings together more than 100 brain teasers including slide puzzles, matchstick puzzles, and even trick questions to flex players’ observation, logic, and critical thinking skills.
The tale begins as Professor Layton, a true English gentleman and famous archeologist, drives to the remote settlement of St. Mystere with his apprentice, Luke, in response to a request from the widow of a wealthy baron. The baron’s will indicates that the family treasure, the Golden Apple, is hidden somewhere within the village, and whoever finds it will inherit the whole of the Reinhold Estate. Professor Layton and Luke must search the town for clues leading to the precious heirloom.

- GameShark 100%: One of the finest debuts of a new IP in some time and does an incredible job of combining two areas the DS seems to have been made for: puzzles and adventure gaming. The addictive gameplay, twisting story, charming characters and beautifully drawn animation makes this a game that neither puzzle fans, nor adventure game fans should miss.
- Giant Bomb 100%: Professor Layton and the Curious Village has a certain warmth to it that makes it easy to love, even when you’re up against a particularly annoying puzzle. Personally, I found this first adventure so strong that I’m already getting antsy just thinking about the next game in this planned trilogy.
- GameSpot 90%: Professor Layton and the Curious Village mixes an interesting story, challenging logic puzzles, and exploration into an extremely entertaining package that you won't want to put down.
- Albeirito 9/10: Professor Layton is one of the best video game franchises in history and this game proves it. I love every single one of the clever and fun puzzles in this game. Like all Leve 5 games, it has a noticeable focus on humour and the mystery that awaits you...
