76A playthrough of "Mt. Erebus" (Level 21) of Doom for Playstation. This is the Total Conversion for PC, played through GZDoom. 100% kills, 100% secrets (Max-Kill).
This map has been completely neutered. There are no Cacodemon or Lost Soul traps, certain areas have been removed or rerouted, even completely moved in location. It has less of a Hell feel despite the flaming sky looming above, and it loses a LARGE portion of it's original difficulty. Sure, we've got a Mancubus out in the open now, however the sheer lack of volume to the map curbs the difficulty in such a fashion that it's almost a disappointment. Even the secret exit has been removed! Albeit, the secret map that it goes to, Ultimate Doom's E3M9 "Warrens" isn't in this game, so at least it's a reasonable removal there. It's just an incredibly shrunk down map that has had lots of difficulty stripped from it in unfortunate ways. At least the texturing job is great here, along with the use of lighting.
