🐧 Let's Play Quest for Glory 4 [CD] Ep 1: Shadows of Darkness. From triumphing over a demon, to being whisked away by magic to some strange place. We ended our previous adventure with two figures smiling at us through a crystal ball: One we know is Ad Avis! I thought he died! His body was not found but... what does this mean? Where are we? What is going on? Mordavia is going through some dark times, they need a hero. The adventure of Devon Aidendale continues on this, our FlightlessBird let's play.

🐧 Exploring classic games and the story they have to tell, resuming with Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness. This is the CD version which fixed a lot of bugs from the original as they rushed it out to get it into stores before the holidays originally. We have voice acting too! Will our adventurer, Devon Aidendale, continue to live the heroic life of a Paladin and continue to be a hero? Will we go from Evil Wizard slaying to Evil Demon slaying BACK now to Evil Wizard slaying on our hero's quest? And what of Ad Avis? Is he truly... dead? Gone, forever? Only time (and watch hours of this let's play!) will tell!

🐧 Hello! I am the #FlightlessBird and I’ve been playing video games for a very long time. One of the first games that got me into RPGs and the world of Fantasy was the Quest for Glory series, made by Sierra. This company helped define my childhood and I wanted to share them with you.

🐧 This channel will be dedicated to classic games (pre-PS3 Era) that have a good story to tell, but focused mostly on RPGs, Adventure, and Puzzle type games #letsplay. Considering Quest for Glory has all three of those elements, it figured to be the perfect place to start since it is a point and click, retro game experience! We will be taking our hero through all five games, and then ending the series with the Coles' newest adventure: Hero U.

🐧 About #QuestforGlory (QfG): Lori Cole pitched Quest for Glory to Sierra as a: "rich, narrative-driven, role-playing experience". In the valley barony of Spielburg, the evil ogress Baba Yaga has cursed the land and the baron who tried to drive her off. His children have disappeared, while the land is ravaged by monsters and brigands. The Valley of Spielburg is in need of a Hero able to solve these problems, and our hero, Devon Aidendale, did so successfully. Then we journeyed to Shapier where their sister city, Rasier, has fallen under dark times and the Emir (the Sultan) had gone missing! Elementals threaten the city and an evil Wizard plots the world's destruction! These cities need a hero! So we stepped in and found out the Emir was transformed into a Saurus, bested the Elementals, and then stopped the summoning of Iblis while triumphing over the evil Ad Avis! In Tarna, war was looming over the theft of two magical items. We found out that a demon was manipulating everyone, and his plan would have opened up a portal to free his master. We stopped him, but then, as we went to celebrate, suddenly were teleported away by Dark Magic! Now we find ourselves in a dark cave, with none of our former possessions, alone and friendless in the land of Mordavia.
