Let's Play Recettear - 1 Tutorials and Text
5The start of something new. I don't expect this to go super well, between both my lack of skill and my lack of hardware, but, well, at least other people have done Let's Plays of Recettear, so if it's about the game, go watch someone else and get a better experience. I'm doing this to have fun and to sort of get a "behind the scenes" look at how some of my favorite entertainment is produced. I'll see how this game goes, then decide whether I'd like to try another.
As for this particular run, I hope to duplicate what I did my first time through the game and manage to win without game-overing. If I die in a dungeon, I'll most likely reload my data, but I mean I'd like to not fail to repay the debt. Once the debt is repaid, I plan on tackling the postgame dungeon(s), rotating through the characters while using off-screen leveling to keep everyone usable. Hopefully that'll at least be exciting.
As for why this game? Well, I like it, and I knew it would be a lot of talking at the beginning. Since I'm nervous since it's the beginning, I like to be able to hide behind the text, quite honestly.
I'll also note that the graphics are all turned down to minimum, except for frame rate, which is also turned down some. My computer isn't very strong. In particular, no HD. In fact, no people walking by on the street to be seen through the windows.
Also, super awesome remembering how my recording software works at the end there. No idea why the sound from the error happens quite a bit earlier than the popup.
Update: This is a new upload in which I have realized that the sound being off on one thing means sound was off on more than one thing, and have made an attempt at fixing the audio sync issues.
Update again, after making episode 62: Watched this again and noticed the sound is still off? I was terrible at fixing things...
