Let's Play Satisfactory s01 e05
23At the top of the episode, let's take a bird's eye view of our tiny factory. We'll try to survey from above like this from time to time to monitor the growth of the factory.
I'm thinking it might be cool to try out the AWESOME Sink and the AWESOME Shop and see what those are all about. I believe these will allow us to acquire some aesthetic as well as functional components for our factory.
We also need to build the Space Elevator in order to keep working through the tech tree.
SERIES NOTES:
This is going to be a very casual play through, I'm not racing to the finish. Hopefully, you will enjoy the journey with me.
Some quick notes to keep in mind:
- I play slow. I take my time and just extract as much enjoyment from the game as I can.
- I intentionally leave my mistakes in the videos.
- I tend not to make compact factory designs. I don't really like those too much.
- I don't often strive for perfect machine ratios or efficiency. If a game starts to feel too much like work, then I quickly lose interest.
I have not used mods in the past, however for this series I'm playing with the following mods:
Smart!
- This should allow me to build platforms and walls a bit faster.
Efficiency Checker Mod
- Provides an easy way to monitor the efficiency of a production line.
Micro Manage
- Provides more control for positioning things in your factory
Pak Utility
- I'll be mainly using this to fly, so we can get a bird's eye view of our factory as it develops.
- I'm using this for the purpose of making the YouTube vidoes more enjoyable. The machines in Satisfactory are so big, that it's sometimes hard to tell where you are in the factory. Once our factory gets to a certain size, I'll try to fly periodically so we can get a better picture of which section we're working on.
PermaDay
- This does what it says. It's another one that I'm using to make the videos more YouTube friendly. There may be a time when we want to see the factory lit up at night. If so, we can always switch this mod off.
- There is a chance I may not use this one, we'll see how things go.
Inventory Slots +150
- I'm using this one so that you won't have to watch me running back and forth to free up my inventory. It's a bit of a cheat, but I think it will make the videos more enjoyable to watch.
