Welcome to Let's Play Shadows of the Damned Part 11. In this episode we begin by hearing a reading-impaired Garcia read the next boss' story book titled, "The Legend of the Stinky Crow." Paula chases Garcia some more. We also meet Gears of War's very own Dom...or something. A demon once again bursts out of Paula and this time it is the boss of the next episode, Elliot Thomas. Mike also gets the Skullfest 9000, an homage to Doom's BFG 9000.
Shadows of the Damned is a third-person shooter with a light and immature sense of humor stemming from the eccentric mind of Goichi "Suda 51" Suda (Killer 7, No More Heroes, Sine Mora) and his studio Grasshopper Manufacture. The game is scored by Akira Yamaoka, who is most well known for his work on the soundtrack to the original Silent Hill. Additionally, Shinji Mikami (Dino Crisis, Resident Evil, God Hand, Vanquish; Tango Gameworks, Clover Studio, Platinum Games, etc.) collaborated with Yamaoka and Suda to create this game. Steve Blum and Greg Ellis provide the voices for the two main protagonists, Garcia Hotspur and Johnson. Shadows of the Damned was published in 2011 by EA for the 360 and PS3, and has an overall rating of 77 on metacritic.
