Let's Play - The Last Remnant - 1 - Intro

Welcome to The Last Remnant! Few important things here: Do I edit out battles or leave them in videos? Obviously Boss Battles or important encounters will always be in the videos, but the other encounters can, as they do in RPG games, get repetitive fairly quickly. Other than that there's mostly just my standard stuff. This game has a lot of sidequests (doubles the length of the game or more) that I WILL NOT be doing. I will be prioritising the main storyline, but I will do sidequests as I see them if I feel like it or if they give important materials or equipment.
Obviously any grinding (the game has very little and actively discourages it) will be done off screen, but I will try to keep important crafting on screen. All tutorial stuff will be kept on screen, mostly because it's blended into the storyline as well but also to explain some combat mechanics to viewers in the event I forget to.
I can not rename any characters, but if you want to (for whatever reason) attatch yourself to one of the characters in the party you can do that.

What is The Last Remnant?
The Last Remnant is a RPG developed and published by Square Enix which takes a different route than traditional RPG gameplay. It still maintains a turn-based combat system that takes place on a battle map seperate from the world map that you explore, but rather than direct control over individual characters you have somewhat indirect control over groups of characters. You can issue group commands that will effect the skills or abilities they use during their combat turn, but you can not tell units to use specific commands. The game also uses a variety of other systems, like Morale and Battle Rank, to effect a variety of parts of the game and combat.
