Let's Play (YU-NO) - Part 4 [Mitsuki/Eriko route - Day 1 Daytime]
YU-NO (full name - The Girl that Chants Love at the Edge of the World)
My longest video yet.
I was originally going to split them up with two videos per character route but it is so long that I had to split them into 2 videos for each game day.
This video includes all of daytime for day 1 of the Mitsuki/Eriko route, the next video will be nighttime of day 1.
I usually don't play visual novels and have never recorded one but this one is actually good enough that I must share it.
Great emotional voice acting, intriguing plot and the main character is not stupid/dense like in most of these type of games.
Give it a try and you might like it.
The plot starts off rather common, but then moves into the realm of science fiction and becomes a psychological thriller with murder, mystery and drama.
The prologue is like a linear visual novel but after that the game becomes more like a point and click adventure game.
I've included the higher quality music from the PC-98 version along with the voice acting from the Sega Saturn version.
I have decided that if there are any repeating parts in a single route that I would skip through them.
I am aiming for 100% completion which requires some backtracking to complete all paths.
When I start a new character route after this one is finished I most likely will keep the repeated parts from the previous route so long as they do not repeat a second time in the new route.
There are 4 character routes in all.
I will be doing them in this order since the plot flows most smoothly this way.
1.Mitsuki/Eriko route
2.Ayumi route
3.Mio route
4.Kanna/Kaori route
And then there is an epilogue.
Once the epilogue is complete it will unlock some new endings for certain character's.
I haven't decided if I will re-edit a previous video and add them to the end of each character route or just make a separate video.
Once that is finished the game will be 100% complete and it will unlock a short scene which I will also include in one of the videos.
Keep in mind that it takes time to record and edit these videos.
I have to play through the parts once before playing through them while recording.
The text is not timed so I have to make the choice in how slow/fast I want it to be.
The dialogue is not always directly translated correctly so if I mess up by skipping to soon then I have to rerecord and edit out the errors.
Finally it takes a few hours to edit the video footage and another 12 hours for it to upload to YouTube and fully process for original quality to appear.
So this is not something I can do in just a few days.
