Okay, Hyrule field, this place is pretty cool. And I found out what things are called! Kargaroks are the big birds, and those little bugs are called Bombskits. Neither of these you need to kill, but if you do...you feel good. Continue west!

Go west until you discover there is a lack of bridge, let's build one! Let Midna teleport you to North Faron Woods, then grab the bridge and come back.

When you see the Shadow-Bulblins, they are easy, just kill them quickly like you would anything else.
